Position Summary
The Regional Wholesale Manager is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with our customers in their assigned territory. The Regional Wholesale Manager will build upon the strong reputation that Berkshire eSupply has within the industry and provide services and products to our customers that meet and exceed their requirements. This individual is expected to prospect and close deals utilizing targeted programs to develop opportunities and increase sales with current and potential distributor customers while achieving sales and profitability objectives.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Develop strong customer relationships, inform customers of current sales and marketing programs, and effectively close the sales opportunities that are uncovered
- Understand customer business models and product needs
- Craft solutions for customers that meet and exceed their requirements
- Prospect new clients in assigned territory
- Expand sales with existing clients
- Make outbound calls each day
- Maintain a working knowledge of all company web platforms and be able to demonstrate functionality
- Travel when required for customer visits, trade shows, etc.
- Act as a subject matter expert on services that Berkshire provides
- Provide reports on progress in territory and opportunities for growth
- Work closely with other teams on larger projects in order to ensure deliverables are met
- Pursue Private Label VMI opportunities
- Promote Signature brand products
- Promote and attend personal development seminars when required
- Encourage customer website usage
- Maintain established margin objectives
- Provide yearly territory forecast and projections
- Maintain customer database by inputting customer profiles, project progress and updates as needed
- Other duties as assigned
